Bill Seibert – Painting

I am the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Firehouse Gallery. I am a self-taught artist. My father introduced me to oil painting by presenting me with a set of oil paints on my tenth birthday. Since that time, I completed a few pieces during high school and didn’t work anymore in art until a brief spell after being discharged from military service. It wasn’t until I retired from teaching that I found the time to begin working in oils again. I enrolled in a painting class at Shepherd University in 2017 and soon sold my first piece. I enjoy working with colors and painting landscapes, places, still life, and an occasional portrait. I am attracted to color, figures, and shapes I see around me and the architecture I see in photos of places provided by several friends.
