Suzanne Ravgiala – Painter, Decorative Furniture,Fabric Collage, Sign Maker

Suzanne has been in the sign business for thirty five years with customers such as the National Capitol Building, Smithsonian Institute 1876 Exhibit, National Park Service Preservation Department in Scagway Alaska, Kennedy Center, and Sagamore Hill. She won craftsman of the year award from  Baltimore Building Congress for historic stenciling at St. John’s Church in Ellicott City Md. 

She paints copies of famous paintings, and sometimes puts a whimsical head from one artist onto the body of another artists work.  She has painted faux finishes for years and does faux wood graining also.

Suzanne is putting her talent to different uses.  She now uses found furniture as a base for her unique painting and decorating skills.  Often she cuts tiles or plates up and places the pieces artistically on to the furniture, sometimes with a theme such as wine or fruit. She is on board of directors of Firehouse Gallery in Charles Town WV, and on the board of directors of Jefferson Arts Council in Charles Town WV also.         

She has shown her art at The Mansion House Gallery in Hagerstown MD, Gallery 50 in Waynesboro PA, and Oasis Gallery in Harrisonburg VA, Washington Street Artists’ Cooperative in Charles Town WV, Artomatic show at Dulles Airport, and Artomatic show in Charles Town WV.

Suzanne has won about 30 different song contests in different catagories over the years. She lived in Nashville for 15 years and cowrote about 200 songs. She mostly writes lyrics and most of the songs on here were almost all her lyrics with different cowriters. She had several smaller cuts
On various cds and wrote two for a documentary called ‘The new humane movement saving one at a time” by kim cady. she has several of her songs on you tube under the name suzanne ravgiala. Two on bandcamp under her name and now 45 on reverbnation. Over the years she had about ten published with different publishers in Nashville, LA, and Philadelphia.
